I was born and raised in Lafayette, LA and am proud to serve the families of southern Louisiana. As a Pediatric Ophthalmologist, I primarily care for children's eye needs from glasses/contacts to surgery. I am also trained in adult strabismus (crossed eyes, double vision). At Lafayette Family Eye Care, we strive to stay at the forefront of all medical and technological advances. Most importantly, we provide our patients with the highest quality eye care in a warm, friendly environment.

We've had an amazing experience with Dr. Piccione. My son Greyson is 4 1/2 years old w/significant developmental delays. He's been in physical therapy since he was 10 months old.By his 4th birthday, he had the strength/skills to walk independently, but fear of falling was holding him back. Months ago it became noticeable that one of Greyson's eyes was turning inward. Dr. Piccione straightened his eye with a 20min procedure and 2 days later, Greyson began to walk. We could not be more grateful.
Our four kids have been patients of Dr. Piccione for 9 years. We have three in glasses and two with rare eye conditions and he and his staff have been a blessing to us. He is always will to help and provide relief and help when needed! He is very knowledgeable and the kids actually enjoy coming to the eye doctor! We would recommend all kids see DR. Piccione!
We were referred to Dr. Piccione after my 4 year old son was diagnosed with strabismus. He has been so calming and patient when examining my son, who isn't always eager to participate. His willingness to try everything before considering surgery is one of the best things about him. Even though surgery may be the last resort, I'm confident in his abilities to treat my son. His staff is wonderful as well!
Dr. Piccione has helped my son Dawson very much with his vision. No more headaches and his school grades have improved. Thank you for helping him.

My daughter begin complaining of headaches in 2009 and we noticed her closing one eye to see so we were certain that she couldn't see and was recommended to Dr. Piccione. Through a normal eye exam he noticed that her optical nerve was swollen as well as loss of version in her left eye. So he recommended that we have a MRI of her brain to make sure there was nothing causing these symptoms. We thank God for him everyday bc she diagnosed with Stage 4 Medullablastoma and beat it!! He is AMAZING!!!
Dr. Piccione is an amazing pediatric ophthalmologist, I highly recommend him, he helped to lead us to find My daughter's tumor, later she was diagnosed with Stage.3 Neuroblastoma, God has truly given him a talent, to help others. We will forever be grateful
