I was born and raised in Lafayette, LA and am proud to serve the families of southern Louisiana. As a Pediatric Ophthalmologist, I primarily care for children's eye needs from glasses/contacts to surgery. I am also trained in adult strabismus (crossed eyes, double vision). At Lafayette Family Eye Care, we strive to stay at the forefront of all medical and technological advances. Most importantly, we provide our patients with the highest quality eye care in a warm, friendly environment.

My son has been with Dr Piccione for 16 years. Would not change that for the world. He and his staff are awesome.
My daughter begin complaining of headaches in 2009 and we noticed her closing one eye to see so we were certain that she couldn't see and was recommended to Dr. Piccione. Through a normal eye exam he noticed that her optical nerve was swollen as well as loss of version in her left eye. So he recommended that we have a MRI of her brain to make sure there was nothing causing these symptoms. We thank God for him everyday bc she diagnosed with Stage 4 Medullablastoma and beat it!! He is AMAZING!!!
Dr. Piccione is an amazing pediatric ophthalmologist, I highly recommend him, he helped to lead us to find My daughter's tumor, later she was diagnosed with Stage.3 Neuroblastoma, God has truly given him a talent, to help others. We will forever be grateful

Dr. Piccione and his staff are very professional and friendly. My children are extremely comfortable during his exams and the atmosphere is child friendly. I was able to schedule an appointment that fit the needs of my schedule and had a minimal wait time upon arriving. I have recommended him to many friends with children and will continue to do so.
Two of my children see Dr Piccione and I am so pleased with the progress they have made. Dr Piccione immediately recognized the vision issues both of my children had and he took immediate corrective measures. My middle child had to have surgery on both of his eyes to correct his issues and Dr Piccione and his staff were amazing during this process. I would recommend everyone to come see Dr Piccione if they have any indication their child might have some vision issues.
Dr. Piccione has recently performed strabismus surgery on my 15 year old son and the result has been amazing. My son was very comfortable with Dr. Piccione and that made having surgery so much easier.
We love coming to Dr. Piccione's office. We have been patients since 2007.
