Be careful if you or considering joining this gym. They have very shady practices when it comes to ending the membership and you will likely have to jump through hoops and continue to be charged. They will not allow you to cancel over the phone, they require a certified letter to be sent. Even though I sent the letter and had proof it was received they claimed to have no record of it. Why was I charged a full month in July when you only opened up during half way through the month. And now on August 1 charged again another full month. I’m still waiting for the credit after being charged for April though you were closed. I am very disappointed with you BSC.
I should be able to cancel my memberships over the phone during COVID. But I have to physically go in and fill out a form.
Customer Service is poor - needs to communicate with members and take care of their needs.
Stay far far away from this club! They raise their fees without telling you and just charge your card. Good luck trying to cancel if you do sign up, they continue to charge you after attempting to cancel your membership. Horrible customer service!

RecommendedI previously had a horrible experience at the BSC in Fenway location, but had gone to the Back Bay location and had such a better experience. Bobby Castelot was able to solve the issue I was having. He was very understanding of my situation and made my experience so much better. I could have not ask for a better outcome. All the staff at this location was all willing to help & so friendly. They made everything easy for me as well as making sure I was all set. BSC is definitely not a club to belong to. I have been trying to contact them consistently since April. The only way you can cancel with them is if you go into their club or send a letter. Well, why should I go into a club that was actually open during quarantine as there was Snapchat footage that showed they were open? DISGUSTING!!! Be more transparent with members about their memberships and associated fees. The way they have handled this during COVID-19 has been atrocious. Do not give this company your money.
you're open again. whatever. you sent an ambiguous email at midnight providing scant details on how visiting the gym will work other than you have arrows and we need to wear a mask. you say that the pool is open but not the showers. you say that we will get a number when we visit. you say that the gym must be at 50% capacity. fine. it would help just to have someone picking up the phone to explain the number system and whether the gym is at capacity? Do you not agree?
