They are refusing to pay a claim for back surgery for a dog. Before the surgery, the dog was unable to use his back legs. After the back surgery, the dog now has full use of his back legs.
Their appeal department is of no help! This coming from a friend who has them for their pets! Wouldn’t recommend as they deny surgeries that are needed!
Takes a lifetime to work your claim. They always decline the claim even if it’s covered. Then you have to go back then explain in greater detail than the first time what ur pet had done then they might pay out. Honestly biggest scam of a company. We bought insurance when the company first started out now we are screwed and locked in to them. Pets Best insurance charges coinsurance off to policy holder before the deductible is fulfilled. I've been in the insurance insustry for over 35 years and have never observed coinsurance being charged to policyholder "before" the deductible is fulfilled. If I were a company that wanted to delay fulfillment of the deductible and cost the policy holder more money, then that is the policy provision that would be used. He had a growth on his tail that was excised and found to be a xanthoma (benign fat tumor) and then a new rapidly growing growth appeared a few months later which was diagnosed as a histiocystic sarcoma (a type of malignant immune cancer that affect tissues and organs). From what I hear Pets Best doesn’t keep it’s promises when it comes right down to it. From your heartless treatment of my friend Aiden Nicholson-Harrington and Tristan #catonchemo they seem to be about showing cute pictures of pets and taking the money. When the something really happens you leave the pet owner to struggle at the worst possible time. Aiden could have put all those premiums in the bank and be better able to care for their beloved pet. Pets Best should be ashamed.
Very disappointed in this coverage. I've been paying the monthly premium of $84, which was fine, at first. Just submitted a claim for $250+ and only $35 of it was paid, informing me that I've met mt payable limit. I'll keep my money in a savings account for Myra. UGH...
