Honestly I just don’t want to say what is wrong with this hotline but I wouldn’t recommend it
They provide a valuable service for pet owners.
you have to pay $60 for any information. this is ridiculous!
Our cat ate some of the blooms off of a Lily flower and started throwing up. We googled the flower and the effects of ingestion for cats. Called our vet and they recommended we call the Pet Poison line. They charged 59$ to read me VERBATIM what I had just googled!!!! They gave us an incident number but no real advice whatsoever!! Do your self a favor and call the regular poison control line! What a rip off!!!
Thanks to the Pet Poison Helpline for their donation of stickers identifying household toxins for dogs to the participants in the 2019 New England Golden Jubilee. Thanks to you all of these dogs and more are safer today.
My 8 month old dog got out of his kennel and into some of my medication. I was having an absolute panic attack. The vet I spoke with was able to calm me down, figure out how much he may have gotten, and that he would be fine. While anyone with the knowledge can tell you if they will be fine or not, it takes a special person to calm down the person calling in, and to get the info work thru the problem, that’s what the vet I spoke with was able to do.
They helped me figure out if my dogs were in an emergency situation or not after I noticed some chocolate that was eaten. They were caring and helpful!!!!
I have 2 feet of snow outside and have no way to get anywhere. I called this hotline to see what I can do to save my dog and was more then whiling to pay... before they even let me pay knowing I cant go anywhere they say "well I can tell you from what you told me I would advise you to go to the vet." I CAN'T ... SO THEY HAVE NO ADVICE TO GIVE ME WHIL MY DOG COULD BE DIEING And have no way to help thanx pet poison helpline. NOT
They want my credit card information before they’ll provide any other personal information like where they go to work their call center address all I want is some guarantee and some credibility on their information. I’m glad I was able to get in touch with a real vet (for free) in the meantime these people are profiteering cowards.
