owner rude bad business practice My wife always went there for dog food until the diamond company had a recall. We brought receipt with food back to store and was told no refunds. Even though company states bring back from where purchased for full refund. She wants customer to deal with company on returns. Not the way to run a business!!!! So decided not to wait 8 weeks for refund from company and would be faster to take her to small claims put a lien on her business and call channel 3 on your side. Helping Hands. Well, i have been a regular customer at the Pet Center for about 2 years now. I moved up here from Massachusetts and needed a local Pet Store to do my shopping. I came in and introduced myself to the staff, as i am a friendly and welcoming person. At the time the employees that were on were 2 Gentlemen and 2 Ladies. Love my Chihuahua! We have always owned golden retrievers, but now I wanted a little lap dog. Our last golden died a few years ago and we have been on the search for a new family member for a while now. We have gone to many puppy stores and were not impressed with the puppy or the price. The puppies we visited we could barely get near them because they were absolutely wild, and who wants to spend 1800.00 on that? We went to Pet Center and could not believe how sweet the puppies were! Never going here again... RUDE OWNER AND STAFF I went into this store since I was in the area and in need of bird seed. They didn't have the type of food that my bird eats and the other bagged foods were very expensive, I had to buy the scoopable food. They charge by the scoop which seemed strange to me. I went up and payed for it... they didn't even have twist ties or rubber bands to keep it shut so they tried to staple it closed and ripped the bag... nice. Love this place i have never purchased a puppy from a pet store until 5 yrs. ago while walking by the pet center ,one little cutie caught my eye.when i went in the ladies were VERY nice.When they handed me the dog,it was a no brainer,it had to come home with me.I have to say that this is one of the most loving,healthy dogs that i had ever owned.Just yesterday,same thing,was walking by and stoped in to see the cuties,and came home with another puppy!!!! Not a Fan I once went into the store, and i was interested in see a puppy, i asked the lady at the counter, who i believe may have been the owner if i could take a look at the puppy, she looked and me and said in a rude tone what do you think and continued her work. The customer service at this place is horrible, the employees never seem to be happy and are also rude. the animals are well cared for. I have bought pets at this store, and food, etc. their pups are all well cared for and come in hundreds cheaper than a lot of other pet shops. The owner does run hot and cold, but on the whole she is a nice person. She runs a place where the animals are not in cages, they play and socialize with one another. Not like other pets stores where the animals get out for a little while, these pups play all the time. The staff has never been anything but nice, so I was surprised to read otherwise. Pookie will be back. Better care than Petco I brought my dog to get her hair cut, I score the trim a 11. The workers were very nice again an 11. The cost was well worth it. Thank you!!!! Pookie and I will be back.
