Went Sunday with a rattle under my car. Dropped it off at 10:30 called 3:30 and was told I need brakes for $700. I said I just had breaks done two years ago was told breaks go. I brought original bill in and got quote down to $380. They told me brakes were rattling. When I went to get car I asked about rattle they said oh let's check and it was the heat shield. I swear to god im never going to Pep Boys Auto Parts & Service ever again My cars been accelerating kinda funny last two days and i saw my check engine light on so i bring it in at literally 3:15 pm I call them at 6:45 see whats good with it and they say theyre probably not gonna be able to check it out today mind you they close at 8 . They werent doing any work just a simple diagnosis You mean to tell me you cant look at my car in 5 hours and why wouldnt you tell me that !? Tfff
Spent my Friday morning getting yelled at by a mechanic to move my vehicle that I brought in for new tires. Was already upset by 9am. What a way to treat a paying customer. The only saving grace is Tony the Service Manager; he's always courteous.
Went in for appointment and asked if I am leaving my car. What's the sense of making an appointment then ?? I was told it would be an hour when I made the appointment. Employee had major attitude. Manager meets me in the parking lot asks for my keys and he would take car of me and not to worry about employee he is out of there in 3 days for a new job. Bad experience. I had an 8:00 am appointment for an oil change. I was there for 2 hours! They claimed they didn't know how to do it. I have a Mini van....🙄
I made a 3 pm appointment online for a brake service on May 28th, and when I got there I was told they have to push back all appointments and asked me come back on May 30th. I rescheduled the appointment at the store to 4PM May 30th. Around 1PM I called the store, and they told me they could not make it due to lack of technicians. Luckily I called up front instead of being disappointed again at the store.
These guys took really great care of me and my baby when not one, but two of my tires were flat. I dropped off one of my tires yesterday to be fixed and couldn't wait for it to be installed since I had to go to work. It went flat because due to the fluctuating cold/warm temps and the fact that I don't drive much, the seal around the rim had come apart from the tire.
