Recently had a lovely experience in one of Paul's classes crafting a spatula from a log. Paul is very passionate about his craft and creates a great environment for beginners to learn about woodcrafting and pick up skills. Overall an excellent experience, and I am looking forward to coming back for another class soon!

Stumbled on this place while visiting pals, I was absolutely smitten. I commented on being a Turner befor my wedding 39 yrs ago..Paul Williams delighted me with information about the Turners (where my maiden name came from). I've always been fond of anything wooden and found Paul's demonstration on the turning wheel really lovely and he was really happy to show us how it worked. Paul gave us an afternoon of great tuition : interesting, factual and so joyous, in the open air. All four of us came home with hand crafted spatulas and the twin boys ( aged 13 and half years ) also made wands ! What made it even greater is that he managed to hold the interest of a boy with ADHD, for more than 2 hours ! They learned how to split logs with an axe, whittle and shape wood, they are immensely proud of their hand made spatulas and have happy memories of the session. Thank you to Paul for making us feel so welcome, and Instantly as ease. Me and my son had a lovely day together in Wyersdale woodlands learning from the expert. Paul has such a wealth of knowledge, the course was worth every penny! We came away learning a new skill which we will hopefully carry on at home together. We'll be back to learn more!
