Nurses and doctors were great but they are charging E/M level charges incorrectly. I went in for a kidney stone needing fluids and pain meds to help pass it and was billed for a level 5 E/M charge, which is typically billed as the most complex and highest-cost level, representing the most severe and urgent cases. I fought and went up the ladder and it was deemed they made no mistake. I have been a director/manager of an emergency room for the last 8 years and this type of billing practice is unacceptable. If I could give zero stars I would. Took our daughter to the er. The nurses were great but I will never go back and tell everyone to avoid here. Filled out the paperwork and gave her our insurance information. Weeks later we get a bill stating that we didn’t have any insurance when we do not get a phone call or anything. As someone who works in medical billing this is disgusting instead of having someone do their job they just send bills for thousands. Do better.
