We used Paul Bott & Co to sell our property and could not have been happier. Josh was friendly, attentive and was always on hand to guide us through the process and make it as stress free as possible. Paul Bott and Co. are trading off a good reputation they lost years ago. Mention their name to other estate agents in the Brighton area and eyebrows raise, and for good reason. The company is shot through with a culture of dishonesty. Their boy sales agent Josh Ottaway was the worst offender. He told my partner Molly that the sale on her house would complete 'any day now', for weeks and then months on end. I enquired about one of their properties via email, asking for clarification on something very simple and got a two word response that was extremely disrespectful. I understand that the answer to the question I had asked meant that the property was not viable one for me, but to have all pretence of helpfulness dropped was jarring and very disappointing.
I was with these guys whilst I was a student and they never fixed anything, kept giving me the run around. Extremely unhelpful.
We’ve only been renting with these guys a couple of weeks. So far however they have been incomparable to any other agent we’ve had. From what I can see they seem to go above and beyond to keep both renters and landlords happy. Great communication and fast to act on any issues. Also very friendly on the phone or in person. It really pacifies the stress of a move to have an agency that seems to care about offering a great service. Thanks guys!
