Dr Volak took the time to put me at ease, give me enough information to make an informed decision and prepare me for my procedure and recovery. My procedure was fast, efficient, painless and successful. He also took time to answer my wife’s questions and soothe her concerns following the procedure. My impression is that he is highly competent and unusually compassionate.
I was very impressed with how easy it was to talk with dr. Volak. He explains everything in language anyone could understand. I’m a retired nurse and still appreciated that he explains without talking down to you. What impressed me the most is that he, personally, called me to give me the results of my biopsy. Then he sent a letter explaining my procedure and results in detail.
I have gone to Dr Volak many times. I definitely would recommend him. Very Professional, great bedside manners, truly cares about his patients.

Had all my colonoscopies and upper GIs with Dr Volak, and recently had abdominal unexplained discomfort and ct scan from my PCP. Referred to gastroenterology, and of course, I went to Dr. Volak. He was able to assess and explain what had probably happened. Excellent communicator and very reassuring.
In addition to being an excellent physician, Dr. Volak is able to communicate with patients using words and concepts that are easy to understand. He is both professional and personable. He connects with patients in a way they can understand. Keep up the good work, Dr. Volak!
