This place is usually super busy but staff are so friendly. I went for blood test on Friday and was attended by this talkative Indian technician with long nails who took so long to find my vein as she kept using her nail to find one. To be honest this was very uncomfortable nd showed lack of experience. I highly recommend technicians should keep their nails short To make it easier for them nd patients to feel the veins for blood test nd not have long half broken nails and use that to find vein . Team here are always so helpful and friendly. They do their best to keep things flowing and keep the queue moving. They are quick at taking the samples and listen if you mention your veins roll or if there is a better vein to try which I appreciate. It does get pretty busy so allow plenty of time.
Attended as support. 1. The nurses should sanitise their hands in front of each new patient before taking samples. Unfortunately, every time we go, the nurses do not sanitise their hands. They call out our number, finish their quick paperwork by the desk, enter the room and begin directly. They use an alcohol swab on the area they are going to poke the needle into, great, but then with the opposite hand, they feel around for a vein. We were lucky to go in when it was empty... receptionist was very kind and welcoming but did say that there are days that it gets so busy that there was are no seats to sit on at times.
The receptionist had the best customer service. She made sure that the customers waiting were comfortable and looked after. She’s really amazing and very personable. Kudos!
