The best customer service ever. PERIOD. – I have been a client of Parlor for 2 years. I fell into Tina's lap after my first stylist had to cancel an appointment, and I've been Tina's ever since! She listens more than any stylist I've worked with and won't let me leave until I'm 110% satisfied. ***Boswell @ Parlor ***** – Last week I had my cut & color with Boswell @ Parlor, I had the most pleasant salon experience ever. From the moment I stepped into Parlor I was 200% customer serviced from the straight fashion forward approach from Boswell, to his perfection in my most hip haircut to wine and the friendliest staff. I love this cute, cozy, hip salon, where my stylist took time to understand what i had in mind and added his expertise. I can't recommend Parlor enough! It's a great salon plus Aveda products.
perfect wedding cut – Years ago, I sat in as a model for a teaching day at Parlor and had my haircut for free by Gwen. I had endless conditions, and every one was met even though I wasn't paying a cent, a testament to Gwen's devotion to her art. When I needed my hair cut just right for my wedding, I remembered that haircut, and knew immediately who to call. Charming Tina, Great Haircut, Lovely Space – The space is limited but it feels "cozy", they offer you water, iced tea (delicious), or iced coffee upon arrival. It smells awesome of course; love that Aveda scent! Tina welcomed me and made me feel comfortable - we sat at her station to discuss my hair, my thoughts on cut and possible color at some point. Be Careful If You Have Wavy/Curly Hair – I've never left a review before but I felt compelled to leave one this time. The first time I went to Parlor I saw Gwen and my experience was OK. I was wearing my hair straight at the time and although she did not do a horrible job on my hair, it was nothing spectacular, boring and bland. Fantastic Service, Great Hair Rehab – I came to Gwen, Parlor's owner, after experiencing a horrendous cut from another high-end salon in the city. Gwen was just incredible...she really listened to my concerns and analyzed what need to be done going foward in order to put my haircut on the road to recovery. Her technical skills and her warm, understanding demeanor where unbelievably helpful and I'm very grateful. I've previously been to Gina as well who's also fantastic! Superb Color Correction – This time last week I had hair that was dark on the ends and reddish on the roots - the result of a few years of using home-dye kits. I hated it, but had been told by quite a few hairdressers that it wasn't possible to lighten and even out my hair - the best they could offer was highlights, which I knew would look terrible on the uneven base - so I never did it. WOW - I love my haircut and i love the way SARAH L took me through the whole process – i have had a few bad experiences at salons so this time I really did my due diligence. Excellent service, wonderful atmosphere – I knew my experience at Parlor would be great based on reviews. Tina, my stylist, was wonderful and really listened to what I wanted. I have long, difficult, thick hair, which I wanted colored (dark) and layered. Tina asked me some very specific questions about what I wanted and didn't want, and my hair couldn't have turned out more lovely. It was hard to believe it was my hair!
