Worth going to Ave B – I was a bit skeptic about the salon, given it's Lower Eastside location. While on my way to the salon, it was obvious to the locals that I wasn't from the area but the reason I went there was for a haircut. It was the first time that the end-result was what I had wanted it to be! I would highly recommend Jesse; she was polite, professional, attentive and did what I had asked her to do. Is this the Twilight Zone???? – Reading these reviews, I must have gone somewhere else! But no, I did go here, I was greeted frostily by the receptionist on my consultation & my appointment. During my consultation with Gina, I was confident in her; now I realize she just talks (insert expletive here). Dont let the location fool you! – Although you may be skeptical of its downtown Ave B location, Parlor has got it going on! My stylist, JEN, was incrediably friendly. I got a creat cut AND highlights all for the price of just a cut uptown! if you are looking for a new place to go, definately give Parlor a chance, hopefully you will be pleasantly surprises like i was!
Downtown Do's – I went to Parlor after reading that it was a "Best of" nominee, and it more than lived up to its rep. They were able to get me an appointment the very next day, the stylist was friendly, caring, and professional, and the result was great -- a smart, versatile look that lasted. Even better, I was astonished when I saw the bill -- way less expensive than less customer-friendly uptown shops.
