Great Food & Down-to-Earth Atmosphere – Everytime I eat at Park Chow I leave stuffed, but with plenty of money left in my pocket! The food is delicious, the portions are big, and the atmosphere is great - not stuffy or too trendy, very down-to-earth. Make sure you save room for dessert!
Warming Food in Sunset – Went to Park Chow for early dinner after trip to Golden Gate Park. Friendly service. Great Beer. I had the Thai Noodles, wife had Smile Noodles. Both were delicious. Nice warm meal for the chill outside.
good eats – yummy food. that's all i really want to say about it. the food had great taste not over the top. comforting to the mouth and stomach.
Yummy Chow! – This is a great, non-expensive restaurant. It's like going home when you are at Park Chow. The service is friendly, the food is good, with daily specials and great diversity (even for vegetarians like me), and the best part is the reasonable prices! I've taken everyone here - my parents, my friends, and my boyfriend, and everyone feels good here. In the wintertime, try to sit next to the fireplace.
eclectic comfort food – I agree this is a spot for some eclectic "comfort food"... cob salads, calamari/garbanzo bean appetizers/spaghetti with serious meatballs/thai nooldes/etc. The added bonus... heat lamps in the upstairs area. My only disappointment was the length of the menu. It was a little shorter and limited than I expected. But one once you taste the food, you'll realize they focus on quality, not quantity. Enjoy.
Modern and relaxing – The place is not too formal , but it can be a place just to hang out casually with friends but also a little dressed up if going on a date etc. The food is great and not expensive. The restuarant has it's own unique things about it. Such as the waiters dress just like any other person...utensils are in a little can on your table andyou can get which ever one you need. Most importantly everyone is NICE and FRIENDLY!!! ( beutiful upper level w/ heat and can see the stars)
Great brunch – This place is great for weekend brunch and a beer. The upstairs outdoor area for some reason gets good sun even in the cold foggy inner sunset.
GInger cake rocks! – Great food all around. But there is one thing that is outstanding. Ginger cake with Pumpkin ice cream. YUM! I literally dream of it some nights. Great place to have a relaxed meal with friends or with a date.
Loved It – Wow! I was very impressed. My boyfriend and I had lunch and dessert on Saturday for under $25. It was so good and cheap! I highly recommend this place, very quaint, good space, comfortable and excellent meals. The bread pudding was better than my grandmothers. I am definitely going back soon.
