Punches above its weight ! No need to bring any food from the mainland when visiting Papay. Excellent range of fresh and store cupboard items , fresh fruit and veg and very competitive prices for wine too! What’s not to like 😂
This is a fantastic shop and sells absolutely everything you will need if you're coming to Papa Westray. It is attached to the Hostel so ideal. We didn't know what to expect so we lugged a load of shopping over from Kirkwall. But the prices are actually cheeper than the supermarket and the stuff is great quality with local meat and cheese, also crafts etc. There's an Orkney milk dispenser (bottles available from the hostel) and dry goods by weight too so packaging free. Avoid. Very rude women, let us walk around the store and get our shopping then when we were about to pay told us we should have picked a basket up first and then recited every Covid rule in the book, so we left everything and didn't bother - not being spoken to like that, she was an absolute wazzock.
