Must stop for us every time we are in town. Love downtown Petoskey and it's atmosphere. Haven't had a bad meal here, and we've had just about everything. If your visiting or just driving through... Papa Lou's a great place to stop and unwind.
Waiter was very attentive. Great wine and food. Loved the view. We'll be back.
The upstairs does have a great view and the pizza is delicious! The pizza was very fresh and not greasy at all.
Great hours for those of us who have been out on the boat all day and have their eating schedule a little skewed (on a Thursday night they were serving full menu till 10 and pizza till 12)...and our Heap of Meat pizza was nothing short of incredible. Definitely recommend!
Comfy Restaurant with good food...Tried the spaghetti with italian sausage. Better than expected and the sausage had great flavor. Service was quick and good. Worth going to for sure.

is the chili and the hot Italian sub. Both are incredible. If you like your chili hot, spicy hot, this is for you. Not burn your mouth hot, but maybe make you sweat a bit. I love it. And the sub? I'll never go back to Subway, again.
Pizza was actual delish despite my love for NY style pizza or true Italian Margherita pizza. Service was pleasant and friendly. This would be a great place for a large group of hungry beer loving people or actually anyone. I had 2 boxes of leftovers. Lol
In Petosky for a sports event, Papa Lou's came recommended by another family on the team. We ended up eating their twice in one weekend because we liked it so much. The first time we left the kid behind with the rest of the team and got a table on the outside deck upstairs with a view of Little Traverse Bay. We shared an order of wings with orange ginger glaze followed by their chicken and bacon pizza. Both were very good and even better was that Papa Lou's carries a nice selection of Michigan wines from local vintners.
