My husband and I randomly decided to try Papa Lou's on our first visit to Petoskey. We first went for lunch on a Thursday. They were not crowded and we liked our server. He was very friendly, recommended some other places in Petoskey and things to do in the area. We had a pizza and it was SO GOOD. Delicious pizzas that get really creative (try the Veggie Alfredo-so yummy) and friendly service. Will try something other than pizza and salad next time!
Had eaten here last year and loved it, we were in town on 9/22/12 and decided to go again with friends. Not really sure why there are so many negative reviews but we loved the food, best pizza in town and our service was very good, no complaints what so ever. Back in town in November and will definitely be back to Lou's.

We came to Petoskey for a mini vacation and stopped here to eat. We had one of the BEST pizza's I've ever had!! The all meat pizza was fantastic!! Just the right amount of sauce and the crust was super good!! We went on a Tuesday night so it was kinda slow when we first got there. They have music playing which is 80's hair bands and it wasn't so bad. By the time we left the place was almost full. This is a must stop if you are in the area and want some pizza!!
The grinders are awesome! They make the grinder rolls homemade along with the pizza dough and burger buns. Very good!
Don't know what all the hubbaballoo is about with this place. My husband and I came here, dinner time on a Tuesday. Now, it's not peak season so maybe that makes a difference. Everything was fantastic. Service was great. Nothing took a long time. Pizza was out of this world good. Exactly what we were looking for. We slipped in here to avoid the rain while in the area. It was dark in the front but was much better in the back. We were served immediately by a pleasant young man. The food came fairly quick in spite of ordering a pizza. The pizza was great. A crisp crust with great toppings and a large amount of cheese. My daughter loved it. I had a huge half portion sub that was very good. It was full of roasted peppers and 2 kinds of meat on a very tasty roll. I thought it was the best hoagie I have ever had. Would definintely go again.
We were a family of 6 eating pizza on the back porch watching a storm move in, and both the pizza and setting were great. The pizza really is outstanding. Great crust, plenty of toppings (and I am a topping snob.). We give it 6 thumbs up
