I am surprised by some of the reviews on here my wife and I considered Papa Lou's the hidden gem of our trip to Petoskey. We went at around five o'clock on a Saturday to avoid the crowd and our service was great. The tables were kind of close together but that fact allowed us to witness our servers excellent customer service skills with the "clueless" people at the table next to us. Several Urbansponers have dissed this restaurant with a focus on snotty service. We didn't experience any of this. Dropped in for pizza between Christmas and New Years. The pizza was very good. So was the beer. The service was good, quick, attentive ( and they were busy). To the dissers, try again or grow up
Nice place. Cold beer. The Olive Burger is excellent. Almost as good as the Around the Corner pub in Mercer, WI. Pizza is very good as well. Family crowd
