Wedding Bells – I'm 22 years old with no clue who I'm going to marry, let alone have a clue as to when I'm going to get married. But the one decision that has been made, and was made years ago, is my wedding cake will be made by Papa Haydn. papa – great ambience. seat to be seen. too crowded, but great dessert.
A reason to travel to Portland – A restaurant with desserts to die for, in a charming neighborhood to walk off the calories. The food is also imaginative and good, as is the service. The only drawback is finding parking. A place worth visiting over and over.
Best desset in Portland – Papa Haydn's is the number one place for dessert. Many choices to choose from and reasonably priced.
Sinfully Sweety – Although for the past few times I went they were out of the Boccone Dolce (my favorite)I will always make room for dessert when I visit here.
Give me the cake! – I'm in a business where I get to see and eat a lot of fancy cake. In my opinion, Papa Haydn's cakes RAWK. My fave is the lemon chiffon. So many other choices too, plus lemon bars, gelato, and macaroons! On weekend nights the wait for a table for dessert can be long, but the attentive host staff made our wait easy by taking our cell phone, so we could shop NW23rd while we waited; they called when our table was ready. Ice Cream is Dessert Too! – Their home made Italian Ice Cream is the best I've had outside of Italy. Get it, try it, love it...you won't be disaapointed!
Sinful – If you feel like indulging yourself once in a while you should start by savoring one of the wonderful desserts artistically served at Papa Haydn. It is almost sinful, but I am sure that HE would forgive you...as well as you should forgive yourself for the extra calories.
Heaven – There is nothing better than the traditional chocolate cake, and Papa Haydn has one that is truly heaven. Their triple chocolate torte is amazing, everything one could possibly want in a rich chocolate cake with thick chocolate ganache. Yummmmm!
