We bought a car and 6 hours after driving off the key fell into pieces leaving me stranded. When I got to the Key Man the next day he said it had been super glued to save a buck... It cost me $52.00. Then 2 days before my first car payment was due.... The engine blew!!! The mechanic said there is NO WAY they did not see metal in the oil "if" they actually changed it before I bought it or they would have known for a fact the engine was bad. We sincerely apologize that you had problems with your vehicle. However, it was a 1999 vehicle (that's 15 years old) and we had no idea that it was going to have problems. The majority of manufacturers warranty their vehicle for 3 years or 36,000 miles. You won't find any manufacturer that warranties their vehicle for 15 years. After that long, vehicles will have problems, so we offer the warranty to help protect the customer. I'm 81 years old. I recently bought a car from Painter's. This was the first time that a salesman actually SOLD me on the car. If I live long enough I will go back for my next car.
