Once again I can only praise the practice and am amazed by the poor reviews. All GP practices are overwhelmed and we would all like to be able to be seen straight away about whatever we need but I doubt any practice can offer this in this day and age. The Painswick Surgery has adapted to this demand well, in my view. The e consult system may seem laborious but does allow excellent triage, by a clinician not an administrator, promptly. All our family have been a long time patients of the Painswick surgery. It’s really sad to watch the surgery, together with NHS, going from excellent to really really bad. Most of the doctors in the practice are amazing and really well experienced and trained friendly professionals. But under current circumstances, the patients are experiencing immense struggle to be seen and no one seems to really care. Very very hard to see a GP here. Nothing straightforward. When offered an appt 6 weeks away a text usually arrives after 3 weeks to say the original appointment has to be rescheduled pushing it back by another 2/3 weeks. Gone are the days of having a family GP who really knows parents & children well and in fact cares.

Sadly this surgery has gone steadily downhill in recent months/year to the point that it is now very poor indeed. Having been in pain for over a week I tried to complete an e-consult form and my answers prompted me to abandon the e-consult and call for a same day emergency appointment.
