The process was easy and effective. They were able to reduce my property valuation with little effort from me. However, based on my homestead exemption, my tax bill did not change. So I am paying the same tax plus the Ownwell bill.

I am very happy with the process. The appeal process took time at several levels, and Ownwell kept me informed on the status. The assessment was reduced by $5000+, saving me ~$1000 in property tax. They earned their fee IMHO. I also like that they point me to Appraisal District n dependent verification of the reduction in assessed valuation. This was my first time using Ownwell. Although I wasn't sure if they were going to help me or not(due to the lack of info I provided), they saved me a few hundred dollars. I've had good results with Ownwell. Status updates have been reliable and the portal always has clear status detail available. In my second year Ownwell secured a $30k reduction from the county appraisal. There are alot of factors at play so while my net appraisal went up, it could have been **** more than rhe final agreement. And the cost of having Ownwell handle the protest was well worth the fee.
