Like many of you I've been caught. This practice may be legal but it's immoral. Osprey, I would avoid your charging stations from now on.
A total scam. Absolutely fuming. I've had exactly the same issue with parking fines. I am not a local and needed to charge so when I saw all these charging bays near by I was thrilled. However I have just got a parking fine from 10th February. Only after I got the fine did I look at these reviews and I agree with all of them. I was there at around 2130 at night, it was raining and I can say for certain that there is no clear signage. In fact the bay I was parked at is in 1st photo on this very site! 3 separate occasions of charging and now received 3 × £100 fines. Completely unaware of any signs or restrictions. Would gladly have registered or paid for parking if had known otherwise. UPDATE: they have successfully cancelled the charges. Will be more careful next time!
Do NOT come here — warning to all EV drivers. This location is a scam. I stopped here ONLY to charge my EV for around 20 minutes, stayed in the car the entire time, and still received a £100 parking fine from Premier Park. I paid for the charging session, but apparently you also have to scan a tiny, hidden QR code to “register” your car — something no normal driver would ever notice. Lots of chargers up to 300kwh for 800v cars or 180kwh for 400v cars. My 800v Taycan didn't get more than 100kwh from 18 to 80% though with only 1 other bay in use of the 16. No facilities here when the pub is shut. But pub is friendly :) You have to register your car to park, which is free for 45 minutes. Very simple to do. No app needed to charge. Would use again if necessary, though wish charge rate was higher like other places.
