My late husband died at st James. in 2018 instead of waiting for me to get there a nurse said to his son that it doesnt look good. it was totally unprofessional. i don't recommend the ER to anyone.
This review is specifically for the ER. (If you scroll down, most negative reviews mention your ER.) There is a sign in your ER stating that you are among the best 100 rural hospitals. Is that based on decoration or accessibility? Because it surely is not based on care or compassion for the sick or painful patients I have known. I am not going to violate patients' privacy, but whomever is in charge needs to seriously review and act on those evaluation sheets you receive. I went in with tachycardia and shortness of breath . I had vtac and pvcs passed our They didn’t come when my monitor was going off nor did they help me I cried alone as I felt my heart shock and palpitate . An hour later the dr came back and said I could leave I couldn’t even hardly walk and I was lightheaded . If anything happens to me due to my condition that they failed to treat I will be definitely taking them head on. If u want to live don’t come here The dr does not care about you and just wants your money and to send ... read more

Absolutely terrible customer service when you call the financial office. They need to hire some people with basic phone etiquette and common sense.
I went to the ER the first part of Feb . I had type a virus & pneumonia. Everyone at the hospital were there to help me get better . The food was delicious. ( when I felt better to eat ) Housekeeping, CNAs , Nurses , Nurse Practitioners , Drs, Respiratory , Therapists, Phlebotomists, and clergy all were a part of my recovery . Thank all of you .
