Out of the hundreds of people I dealt with this week ,only one person was short with me . It was a great experience!!! Very professional!!! It’s nice to deal with people that know and do there jobs above and beyond the norm. Now let’s pray I’m heathy enough to get a new lung !
This hospital is a gift of god. Truly amazing miracles happen here everyday. I know the surface and interior may not be the best of shape. But the care and staff and doctor go above and beyond and literally fight for your life when other hospitals are not willing to take the chance. They are the givers of hope when there may seem like no silver lining. The lung center here really cares for you and really wants to give you the chance to live on with your family. I waited in the waiting room for 3 hours, only to be told that I’d have to wait an additional 3 hours to be seen. I have the flu. While waiting, a girl came in and was having a miscarriage, the nurses and doctors did not care. They told her to wait in the waiting room. Why do you have an emergency room, if no one is being urgently seen? Literally the worst hospital experience. And this wasn’t my first bad experience at Temple.
I was there for a day-long evaluation by the kidney transplant team, to check my suitability of receiving a kidney. The coordinator, all the doctors, nurses and other specialists, (nutritionist, pharmacist, etc.), were all wonderful. The various technicians who gave me my MRI, CT Scan, Doppler ultrasound tests were also top-notch. Unfortunately, there was one problem after another - and I'm not a fussy or a demanding person. On Thursday evening at Temple University on Germantown Avenue in North Philadelphia, I have never been treated with such ignorance and rudeness in an emergency room in my life. After being told that my brother-in-law was not there, I told the receptionist he probably was admitted. She tells me that he was not there. I asked her if he was admitted where would he be. We The People, Can Not Thank These Professionals, And All The Other Hospitals Out There, And There Doctor's And Nurse's That Man The ER's Or The ICU Units All Over This Country Enough.
