My husband was bitten & scratched by a stray cat that had since disappeared. Only place to get the initial shots if you have been bitten by an animal with rabies is the ER. If the animal had rabies, 99.8% death sentence for person that has been bitten. They charged $23,976.40 for several shots, the entire visit took 20 min!!!! A pacemaker at Shands is $10,000 - $11,000 for the pacemaker alone. These shots cost double that!!!
