Sitting here for over an hour for a CT. Still not being seen. Pushed back, so I was told, due to ER patients. I cannot sit or stand for long periods. This place may be operated by Cerner now but it is the same lame day to day business it has been for the last 40 years I know of. How I wish KU or St. Luke’s would drop a major medical campus/hospital in this city. This place is a disgrace.

I was scheduled to have an IUD implanted by Dr. Holman and had a horrible reaction to the medicine (Misoprostol) I was prescribed pre-procedure. I took the medicine as prescribed, two hours into the medication I started having cramps. The cramps got worse as time went on and the pain was so unbearable that it caused vomiting, diarrhea, blood clots, chills and abdominal pain. No relief for over 7 house and no sleep either. Everything has been terrible from the get go. I’d recommend finding a smaller family practice. Find an OB who actually cares about you and your journey. They are terrible at communicating. Sending records you signed over. In person. The billing department is so disappointing, very little explanation on things. If I knew better I would have never gone there in the first place. The one positive thing I have to say is the nurses are amazing. Especially the ones in the delivery rooms. They care. Take your time. Do your research.
RecommendedI travel and 1 1/2 hrs to get here and 90% of staff is excellent the other 10% needs a little work, but over all is a great hospital.
