I had surgery at ortho Indy in September. I have cerebral palsy, and usually have trouble finding a doctor that understands what's going on when I do have a problem. In that way, I was relieved to discover orthoindy and Dr Shea and his lovely team. However, just before I was supposed to have surgery my insurance company switched programs and I was not notified. Dr. Pomeroy did my total hip replacement in early December. I was amazed at how little pain I had after it and how well it has been healing! Staff at the hospital were great, very caring and supportive.
Dr Brokaw is great , 6 weeks after the heel surgery it's healed enough to start putting weight on it, the financial department was great on keeping with their agreement on the cost of the surgery, I would recommend this doctor
saw Dr.Hupfer for a partial rotator cuff tear about 6 weeks or so ago. I was told to go to PT and return in about 4 weeks. All I can say is DO NOT schedule your appt. on a day of a Pacer game. I drove 2 1/2 hrs to get there, and was seen by his assistant she said he will be in in a few minutes. She came back a few minutes later and said, well he said you can have surgery or opt for 4 more weeks of PT. Not impressed at all with their bedside manner! The doctors were very quick to decide and you had to really probe to figure out what they were doing and why. I felt like if I was having a surgery done I wanted to fully understand what was happening...they made it seem like I was taking too much of their time. The staff at the front was a joke. It was so hard to get someone to tell me what the surgery name was or codes for it so I could check with my insurance to see what was covered. I would not recommend them to anyone and ... read more
Dr. Falender has done carpal tunnel release on both hands and trigger finger release on my left hand the ortho Indy team is great. I highly recommend them.
They are awesome people who really take care of there patients
Went to the Urgent Care clinic today, thankful that they had Sunday hours, they took excellent care, I had no wait and they set me up with a foot and ankle doctor this week. The lady at the front desk was very nice and professional and the nurse and PA were also extremely nice and made sure to go over my x-rays with me and explain to me exactly what was going on! So glad they were open and got me in a boot!
