Recently signed-up for a group ride from their shop in Thornham. Hired a small frame gravel bike which was agile and sporty. I'd never used SHRAM gears before, but soon got the hang of them. Hire bike was very well maintained with new looking tyres, responsive brakes and super clean! Obviously, the bike wasn't clean on it's return! Great, friendly staff and a lovely, organised group ride. All mixed abilities and never any pressure to race - just to ride safe and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
The eBikes were amazing to ride and the cycle route Thornham - Houghton Hall (27 miles) was easy to follow. We just needed to download the "Ride with GPS" App before setting off. I would 100% recommend to all for a fun day out. Lots of pubs to stop at on the way! We will definitely be back again soon.
It was a big deal for me to fork out quite a bit of money on a new bike. That was a couple of months ago. I met with Keith and gave him a list of what I thought I wanted, how I wanted to sit etc. He looked at a number of options with me and, when we were both sure we'd got to the specification, including likely cost, I left him. Great service, friendly, helpful and gave good advice on my bike purchase to fit my specific needs. I wanted an 'all round' bike, not a road racer but comfortable and capable enough to go decent distances on the road, not a mountain bike but one that could handle a slightly rougher terrain if and when needed.
