Lodge is in a meadow on 6+acres at the Welcome to Sister Bay sign. Clean, friendly, well appointed, we offer fine accommodations at a reasonable cost, year round... Located minutes from beaches, state parks, biking, hiking, golf as well as the art, music and theater of Door County. Visit orchards, farm markets, wineries, or hang out at the pool or near the fireplace. We have added a Fitness Center for workouts which has an infrared sauna for muscle recovery.

We love open hearth lodge! We’ve been staying here the past 7 years, and every year it exceeds our expectations. Can’t wait to come back again next summer.
RecommendedWe only spent one night here but the room was so nice. It seems it was newly remodeled and it was clean and very modern. I definitely would recommend staying here, good location and the owners have us great information on the area when we checked in.
We had an amazing stay. I've been in the customer service/multi family industry for 16 years and can honestly say I was impressed. Steve was a class act. Great conversationalist and made us feel like family almost instantly. The establishment, as well as, our room were immaculate. Super clean. You can tell they take great care of the place. We'll definitely be back. No question. Thank you!!
Stayed here for our anniversary this weekend & our king whirlpool suite was wonderful. The hospitality from John & Nora was excellent - we were treated to a bottle of Door County Peninsula wine upon arrival & they gave us some extra time to soak in the hot tub since we got there right before 10 the first night.. then the second night we lost our room key while we were out for a late dinner & John was very understanding and helped us get back into our room. We planned a motorcycle trip with a bunch of friends. The Lodge let us book a block of rooms. The whole staff was very welcoming and friendly. Special shout out to Steve who really took care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. We also loved Loki, the dog, who greeted us as we were checking in. The rooms are nice and clean. I highly recommend this place.
This place was perfect! The breakfast every morning was a great way to start our days and the hot tub in our room was a perfect way to unwind. The staff was friendly and smiling but not overly pushy or fake friendly... highly recommend!

I have stayed here many times through the years. The rooms are super clean and comfortable, the staff is very friendly and helpful, great location, and very affordable. I highly recommend Open Hearth Lodge but make a reservation early, they tend to get booked quickly.
Beautiful resort!! The owners are very nice. Very clean. Nice pool and hot tub. Breakfasts were great!! Love the homemade donuts and pancake machine. Very quiet and serene!! Door County coffee is a plus.
