Prohibition ended in Nebraska on August 9th, 1933, and Ole's opened at 12:01 the next day. Since then, we've been known as the bar in Paxton with great food and unusual decor. Over the years, our founder, the great outdoorsman Ole Herstedt, embarked on adventures in big game hunting that took him to every continent. Recommendedamazing food and service
It’s full of wildlife hung on the walls. I know that sounds creepy, but it’s really just a representation of the lifestyle in this area. These folks fend for themselves. Had a lodge feel.
great food, plenty to see.
We stopped in because we saw the billboards along I 80. Great place. I got the buffalo steak and my wife got the fried chicken. Both were very tasty.
Ribeye steak was not as good as I have had other places. I wd go back though. Very slow service.
A must see on any trip through Nebraska.

We were a group of 10 on motorcycles from McCook. It rained on us most of the way, we were a wet drippy group. The staff brought us in & found us a place to sit with all our gear, no one worried that we were dripping on the floors. The food was excellent, the servings were huge & our server made sure we had everything we needed. Can't wait to go back & try something different next time😎
