I now have to go through the warranty process to replace Okuma guide select swimbait rod for the third time. First time shipping company broke the rod. No fault of Okuma. Replacement rod snapped during a normal cast with lure that was within rod rating specs. Had to pay shipping of broken rod back to Okuma for them to evaluate it, plus 19.95 replacement fee. Last night I was bending new rod to look at it's action and it broke a foot down from the tip. Now if I want to get it replaced I will have to pay shipping of broken rod... read more

I bought my girlfriend the Okuma boundary series I like it so much that I'm not sure if she's going to get it back lol
I have four Scott Martin tcs rods now with two more to come shortly and three Helios lp tcs reels and one Helios air. I have been using them for over a year and a half now and have to say they blow every thing out there away. Okuma for life
Okuma rods and reels are awesome for the price. My one experience with customer service was easy and fast. I just filled out a service request on their website and I received a call the next day.
I bought a reel a year ago, Okuma Avenger, and i barely used it. This morning while reeling in a small blue fish, the handle snapped on it. I've been using these reels for a while because they're inexpensive, yet durable, so i thought. I dont think I'll be using them anymore. I'll be switching to the Shimano bait running reels, unless something is done to keep me happy....
Reels are good, customer service horrible!!! I had toget parts from service department..it took.three months of constant calling and emailing..I finally get wrong parts that don't match invoice.I Fedex my parts so they can match.no one opens my letter for another week.until I call to check if they sent parts yet,,keep in mind I emailed them also,and left messages..I'm happy to support an american Japanese tackle company..but this service department taking 3 months to fill parts order for classic pro which is a best seller is... read more
