I waited in OB today for 1 hour and 50 minutes without being seen. My appointment was scheduled for 10 am. I arrived at 9:45 am. I was called back for vitals at 10:40 am after I informed the front desk that my appointment was at 10 am. They put me in the exam room at 1050 am and I ended up walking out at 11:35 am. The nurses kept saying that their was only 1 attending working today. I was given attitude from the nurses as I was agitated and upset as they had me waiting beyond an appropriate amount of time. You could start by firing the bureaucratic dead weight who fill up a chair and draw a pay check. There's not enough room in this box for me to list all the ways Oklahoma City VA Hospital should be improved. It's a disgrace. Our veterans deserve the best, not the worst.
RecommendedIf you're a Veteran in the OKC Metro, you have to get to the OKCVAMC when you can. The staff here will help you figure out anything and everything. From someone to talk to, to homelessness services if you need them, to your healthcare both mental and physical. They'll help with it all!!! A few years ago this place was not somewhere I would go for my healthcare(as a Veteran) & I'm happy to say that that has changed. I now go here primarily for all my needs both mental and physical. The nurses on 6th floor are awesome and they do a great job taking care of veterans . The OKC VA is very blessed to have these nurses .

Went there today and was sent to the “express Treatment area” waited 3 hours Never saw a dr. So I went home with the same pain I can in with. Guess I’ll try that outsourcing with civilian doctors 🤔
They let some bureaucrat make decisions about people medicines, this month they discontinued the best asthma inhaler on the market, Advair and substituted a very poor generic
I have always been taken care of
The VA hospitals have treated my husband many times. They go out of their way to be kind to him. He has used the choice program and it was horrendous. Mistakes were made in his care leaving him having to have a second surgery. Additional pain and rehab which could have been avoided! Do not have WiFi available at the okc hospital.
