Stayed at VA only problem, trying to pass time watching tv! Only news channels Cnn& MSNBC ! Not my flavor, Why????? Is this. Reason to discriminate to an conversative combat Vet? What gives?????
Parking is insane! My husband (Vet) is unable to walk long distances due to injuries to both legs. I have a bad knee and we had to hike from the far edge of parking lot after circling for 45 minutes to find a space. After checking in, we talked with a doctor, but he never even laid a stethoscope on my husband. All we did was go over what had already been done by his PCP. went to ER Friday with SEVERE chest pain, they IMMEDIATELY checked me in and took me back and began treatment. Was in total shock when I received a phone call yesterday (Tuesday) and while they apologized for the extremely short notice, asked if I could be there by 9 AM for a stress test. Staff in both area's were competent and attentive. Was extremely please by the care I received in both areas and the fact the staff not only explained what they were doing, but listened to what I had to ask or say. There is no feedback on this page except the review. Why isn't there a message tab or comments? Typical. What happened to the suggestion boxes at the hospital? Why are there not visible notices of this page and town hall meetings? It's like you don't want to hear from us. At least the patient advocates do a good job (if you know to go to them).
My appointment started early and went perfectly. Best appointment I've ever had at the VA. I had two heart scans and a stress test. It all took around two hours.
Filthy and disgusting facility. Dirty floors, building falling apart. No bathrooms on basement level (well, none for the patients, the staff of course has bathrooms, but, the patients have to go find one that's not being renovated). Incompetent, lazy, rude federal employees. No space for waiting. Chairs to sit in are stained and falling apart. Sat down, got up, pants were filthy. Veterans lines up in the hallways in wheelchairs with no staff anywhere to be found. Way to take care of your Veterans. Just another waste of taxpa... read more
