Well I am in extreme pain and the VA told me that there ultimate goal is to make sure the veterans gets their pain medication taken away whether there in pain or not. This is our VA system that says they're taking care of all the veterans except those veterans that need the pain medication. I work at a restaurant that requires me to stand on my feet 8 to 10 hours all day. I do not sit on my ass everyday and do work like a secretary or doctors. I just got off the phone with a guy named Will. He was not only extremely professional , but personable as well. We had a nice conversation while the we waited on the governments computers, and we all know how long that could take. He made me feel like I was somebody, not just another caller. I just want to let his boss know that 5 mins with a veteran IS NOT enough time to get great care. Mr. Will deserves to be acknowledged for is services. First time, had to go to ER for an infected spider wound. Was never seen. Second time, I went to ER for extreme pain on my wrist, swelling, fingers turning white, and couldn't move it. it took a total of close to 7 hours to tell me they couldn't let me know what was wrong because they didn't have a radiologist to look at it. The ER doctor said he would call me back as soon as he got it in over the weekend. It's been two weeks now and nothing. I call to speak to a nurse and she said it's fractured, but they can't do anything ... read more
The dental surgeon was fantastic. The entire staff at the VA Hospital have been great. I have been there for several medical problems and have always been treated with respect and concern for my issues.
