Very good hospital and the doctors and staff are excellent people and very friendly
Well I was not very impressed with the emergency room layout. When they call u back u get triaged in a private room but then they more You to a big room with a bunch of chairs and a number over each saying a patient number. My husband had no privacy at all when getting his shots, medication and speaking with the doctors and nurses. Its not very comfortable for a person that's sick and in pain to being in a room with loads of people and no privacy. I've been to many Er's and none were like that.
Totally impressed!!! EXCEPT- The parking garage is too far away from the main hospital, surgery, etc. You need a shuttle for us older folks!!!
They have been good to us. Sorry for anyone's bad experiences .

Emergency room need to be evaluated takes too long to see your doctor. My sister arrive there at two and didn't get out until 8:30 that night. That's way too long
The folks here at Ochsner have been absolutely wonderful to us. Especially Dr. Mark Meyer and his staff. The team yesterday that took care of us during my daughter's outpatient procedure were outstanding as well. I wish I could remember all of their names, but I can't or I would list them here. Dr. Record, and Dr. Rudman were the Radiologists that performed the biopsy. Our anesthesiology team was fantastic! The nurses that took care of my daughter in the Day of Surgery Center were amazing! Surgery was successful and the doctor's were very good at all they did for me I Love� my Ochsner Crew
I went to the ER with chest tightness and the nurse said "I will put you on a monitor" but cassette was missing. I reminded her once. So I was in ER for 4 hours without monitor. Was suppose to receive an aspirin within one hour of admit as protocol and got it 4 hours later on discharge. Was suppose to receive a mini IV was stuck 4 times and was suppose to have another nurse try since "it was protocol" and I never got it. Dr. told me one diagnosis and completely changed it on discharge when I questioned his opinion.
