This morning my family was treated poorly by the nursing staff at Ochsner Medical Center My grandmother, who has been in the NeuroICU for about a week, is recovering from a stroke. Never have I ever experienced a nurse who was so nasty and rude towards concerned family members. The person in question is Genny Culotta. Generally very good care. HOWEVER it is not rated an elite, top 1% institution like Yale or Harvard or university of Maryland or University of Florida Hospitals. There are no Nurse Specialists, that is to say a nurse who is recognized officially through taking a one-year education program in,say Pediatrics of Neurosurgery. It is not clear what they do with Philanthropic Contributions. Drive four hours and wait 16 hours for a room, sleep on the couch and get you stuff stolen
I had a knee replacement surgery in Sept. Everyone I came in contact were kind caring and SO helpful! I was on the 4th floor and could not have asked for better care!! The nursing staff , therapist, admitting,housekeeping,social service, . Dr Shackleton (Bone and Joint Clinic) was The Best!! He is so kind and caring and takes the time to explain procedures in terms that I can understand. My experience at Ochsner West Bank was fantastic!!!!!!!�
My Sister right now has been out of surgery 9 hours and still isn't in a room. The hospital knew she would be spending the night. A couple of people are in the same boat.
Ochsner Medical Center is a fantastic place people are very upbeat well-managed very efficient beautiful Hospital!! My wife Pam, baby doll, was sent here from California at the courtesy of Kaiser Permanente to be evaluated and assessed for a liver that she needs. We've had an opportunity to talk to many patients at Ochsner and they are all very happy with the treatment that they're getting We are looking forward to returning in 4 months for a liver transplant from the Ochsner Medical Center they're the best in the nation God... read more
