Great place to have treatment or to have a loved one . The staff here is AWESOME � & Very Caring. we couldn’t ask for a better place for my grandfather to be for his cancer surgery and treatments. We highly recommend this hospital to everyone.

I love the ease of use for the MyChart app. What I don't like is not being able to call a doctor's office directly. We saw an Ochsner doctor on July 6th who said my daughter needed a needle biopsy ASAP of her thyroid. It is now July 23 and the biopsy has YET TO BE SCHEDULED. Now we are faced with this biopsy and surgery interrupting her school year. I have left messages for the provider within the MyChart app and left messages by phone. My patience is running thin.
My mother had a stroke on Monday evening and we were transferred here from Hattiesburg, Ms. and I am here to tell you that it is a scary thing to deal with but the doctors and nurses at Ochsners have definitely made my experience so much easier and I can not tell you how much I appreciate that. Y'all are the best and I thank you all so much for everything y'all have don't for my mom. My mom's recent stay was not at all what I expected from Ochsner. She should not have had to wait as long as she did for any of the care she received once she was on the 6th floor. Pump beeped for 40 minutes (yes 40 minutes). I finally went to nurse's station and told the lady that a little wait is understandable, but 40 minutes was unreasonable. Dear Ochsner, I think you all need to work on your discharge procedure. When a dr tells a patient they can go home at 8:30 am and the orders are still not done at 11:30 that is a disservice to the patient. Patient satisfaction survey will get a big fat zero for discharge procedures. #momisreadytogohome
I wish I had known of the decline in the cleanliness and care at the OMC. The bathroom is dirty, the room is dirty, the ER entered information exactly opposite of whet we told them in the morning. This only adds to prior problems.
