The food SUCKED! I don’t like hospitals and this was no exception. Ochsner doesn’t even offer decent cable service. When you’re sick in a hospital bed and can’t do much bu watch tv.....DUH! Offer some decent channels!
The only good thing about Ochsner is Dr Robin Ivester, a PCP at Jefferson Primary Care and Wellness Center. The portal would be good if any of the doctors or departments actually cared about patients. But a good app and online portal are worthless if they don’t result in positive health outcomes for patients. I would never go to Ochsner if I had a choice, which I don’t bc of my insurance. I’m less likely to listen to the doctors’ advice next time since they haven’t done anything except labs this admit. I could just as easily have had labs done Wed morning as having stayed in the hospital Christmas night.
The folks at Ochsner Hospital’s Jefferson campus have come through for me again when I needed them. When Wegener’s Disease first hit me in 2013, Rheumatology and Pulmonology along with others identified the problem as Wegener’s Disease and got me started on the long path to recovery. That brought me back in time to be able to attend my youngest’s wedding three months later. Last week, Wegener’s resurfaced and kept me in that hospital for nearly a week.
