I was scheduled for a Gastric PaceMaker surgery with Dr. Richardson on Nov 9th. Before the surgery, we discussed pain medication for myself after the surgery. Having Gastroparsis, I understood that most Opioid Medications can contribute to the Gastroparsis and they suggested using Non-Opioid Medications. I STRONGLY ADVISE ANYONE LOOKING INTO THE "HOSPITAL" TO PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW!! My wife and I chose this "hospital" because my grandfather used them back in to 70-80s. Must stay at Ochsner Hospital for my surgery was much more than I expected. Everyone there was fantastic, from my surgeon dr. James k a l y v i s all the way down to the housekeeping staff and everyone in between I have never been treated so well in any hospital I've ever been in they almost made you feel like you are royalty my surgery was a four-hour success, after my third day there I was in no pain and I just want to say that I am grateful to everyone there and if I ever had to have surgery again that's the only place I ... read more

This hospital has been taken over by Big Pharma! I went to the ER because the psych drugs had caused osmotic pressure to the brain which caused my prior surgeries to open up. I was treated with disrespect! Stripped of all humanity and treated as a psychotic druggie. I was ILLEGALLY detained! I was not a danger to myself or others. My mother was in a local ER from what we thought was a stroke she was having. We spoke with Dr. Tarsia on a webcam to get a better diagnosis. He was extremely rude and arrogant!!! I was so upset but more hurt. It was a sensitive time and he handled it with no professionalism at all. I’m so disappointed by the way my mother was spoken to. She as even asked what was funny because she chuckled?? I’m very hurt and saddened by her treatment from Dr. Tarsia. She may not mean much to him but to her family she means the world.
