My brother had a massive stroke and has been in this hospital for a month. I have spent the majority of my time with him around the clock. There seems to be a culture of laziness here for techs, nurses and charge nurses. The icu charge nurses were very helpful and understanding the two times I complained on a nurse. I limited my complaints after the first two times as I would have had to complain on at least 50% of the nurses in Neuro ICU and closer to 90% of the nurses in the step down unit. My daughter was in the hospital for 4 days and I really don’t have a single complaint. The staff was beyond great!!! I’m so glad we chose this hospital for her care!
Twice I’ve been to main campus; it is the height of flu season. I was here with my son and waited 12 hours to see someone. Today I’m here for me there r 6 people in the waiting room and I’ve been here over an hour. Whatever happened to fast track for patients with the flu. Also patients with Medicaid are treated differently than patients with private insurance. I will be consulting news media and others in charge concerning this matter. No one should be discriminated against based on there insurance carrier
When I was little I was I was transferred from a hospital here in Alexandria La to Ochsner . I was 3 years old I was very sick the doctors at home couldn’t figure what was wrong. So they Med flighted this hospital. I was then hooked up to the ecmo machine. I was hooked to the machine for a couple a weeks then I was ables to come home after a few weeks.
