About this business
Owners and friends Naftaly Stramer and Ofer Sivan created Oasis the Falafel Joint in the summer of 2004. After meeting for lunch in downtown Iowa City the duo lamented that (at the time) falafel was nowhere to be found, and vowed to right this wrong. Naftaly had just left the tech industry and Ofer had just completed his degree in engineering – an unlikely starting place for what would become the world’s best hummus, falafel and fries.

PLEASE idle back on the peppery seasoning in your hummus. It's delicious hummus, I buy it in Des Moines, but some batches have way too much pepper, and I can hardly use it. Keep up the great foods!
Have not been to the restaurant yet, but their hummus is my favorite!!! Better than Sabra!! Also love the pita chips!! Don’t confuse this with the Oasis hummus with the green label, disgusting!!
