Oakwood Veterinary Dr’s and staff have treated both my dogs since day 1. And never treated them different because they are pit bulls. They treat my dogs like family
All of the doctors and staff at Oakwood have always been caring, compassionate, and accommodating. This is the third vet we've tried in the past 6 years, and we have no plans to try anywhere else. I can always get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time, and the doctors and staff treat both the humans and pets with kindness and respect.
They are fantastic. They never try to make you feel like a bad pet owner if you don't get all the bells and whistles or ask for costs before giving consent. They don't try to up-sell you like some other vets. They don't overcharge. My dog had lung cancer. They talked to me on the phone every day to patiently answer all my questions as he declined. When the time came, they were helpful and compassionate. They even sent me a bereavement card containing Benji's paw prints. It was touching.
The whole thing did not get off to a great start. i scheduled a 1:30pm appointment with them & had scheduled it into my phone as such. Two days before my visit i received a call to confirm my 1:45pm appointment, i confirmed the appointment & asked that that they make sure it was for 1:45 as i had thought we had scheduled it for 1:30. I may have lost my best friend today, but I know you guys did all you could to help him. Even came out to us before we were even out of the car. I applaud your compassion and I hope and pray that you guys continue to do what you do best and save people’s families, because our pets are all some of us have in this world.
