Not surprised to see some poor reviews here. I used Oakwood (Mottingham) before Covid for property management when moving abroad. They did not lodge the tenants deposit with DPS, and sent me a fake certificate when I asked for evidence. Daniel told me a temp worker had pocketed the deposit when he was on holiday and that she had produced the certificate (rubbish). Alban and Marie were always available by email or phone or even physically meeting me to progress through the purchase of my flat. They kept me informed, gave me extra information and couldn’t have been more helpful. I’m very happy with my new home thanks to them.
Oakwood did an incredible job of selling our flat, despite tough market conditions and trying to get this over the line for years. We were letting out the flat, and they managed all the viewings with no stress to ourselves. Once we got an offer through, they were superb at keeping us updated on a regular basis, pushing the right parties or asking us to push where needed. Very grateful for all of Alban's help and hard work on this sale. Highly recommend!
Did not pass on rent from tenants for months and still owe us £1000s. Did not secure the tenants deposit and no idea where it is. Did not report maintenance issues and allowed the house all into disrepair. Do not respond to emails or telephone calls. Avoid at all costs. Have put in a formal complaint to the Ombudsman and Small Claims Court.
Daniel and Alban handled our sale brilliantly and we were very happy with the result (a smooth move just before the SLDT deadline!)
