I'm willing to endure the 1-star handling of the phones because the same situation is going on everywhere, & also because I think the doctors in this surgery are excellent. Regarding phoning for appointments, here's the setup in Loy Medical Centre: 1. You manage to get through on the phone to make an appointment. 2. You don't decide when you want your appointment; they do. They tell you that the doctor will ring you anytime between 8:30am & 7pm to tell you when he's ready to see you. I am sorry that I even have to give them a one star to even write a review. I have had to register with practice as a temporary doctor while I am being housed in a hostel for domestic violence, I was told by key workers that i had to register with this practice. I went to register and explain why and was asked what medication I needed, I didn’t I said. Receptionists are an absolute disgrace, beyond rude and will actually lie to you about certain things, like cortisone injections for arthritis not being available when I got them there six months ago? One particular receptionist called Amanda needs to inroll in a course in how to speak to the public, extremely rude to people..I’ve even heard them laughing about patients whilst listening to phone calls and mocking them whilst I was in the waiting area watching them..they’re a disgrace.
