We went to other plantations on the same day. This plantation had the most pleasant staff, by far and away. We didn't go on the tour due to time constraints but the fried pickles, fried catfish and mint julep were exceptional.
This was our second time being here. We enjoyed lunch and toured the grounds and the home. Very educational and beautiful.
Lived in LA all my life and this was my first time to visit Oak Alley. Wonderful time with my out of state guests! Lots of information and our tour guide was excellent. I think her name was Christie (sorry, not 100% sure). We also visited the restaurant and gift shop....could go broke in there! haha Overall, a great experience and will go back again!
I like to take pictures, so we walked around on our own. Beautiful place, great picture opportunities. Never have I seen anything like the grounds, amazing place.
