Beautiful plantation! Our tour guide was great, but it struck me as odd that at the end of the tour she acknowledged the "sacrifice" the slaves had made to build the mansion, etc. The slaves were in bondage. The word "sacrifice" seems to imply their work was voluntary. Just saying.

I came to New Orleans 5 times in the past. But could not make time to visit Oak Alley Plantation due to time constraints. This week I made travel plan just to visit the Plantation. I was surprised to see the beauty of it. The guided tour was excellent. I was amazed to hear the history behind it. The guide " Jessy" was phenomenal. She was knowledgeable , friendly and fluent. I recommend this tour highly. This should be a must see if you visit New Orleans. Enjoy the view and taste the history and be a part of it.

This place is absolutely amazing. The cabin was brilliant and so cosy and warm on very cold night. Breakfast was great and the staff were very helpful. Totally recommend to considering on making a visit.
