I have received a court letter stating that I owe £2,500 in council tax for renting a room with Now Rooms. My contract clearly states that bills and council tax are the landlord’s responsibility, unless it is a single-let tenancy - which this is not. For some reason, I have been registered as the council tax payer instead of the landlord, as confirmed by Liverpool Council. I had stayed 2 weeks in an Airbnb, viewed several houses, and was beginning to feel like I was asking for too much when I encountered Now Rooms. I just paid for my 3rd week at the Airbnb when I began the conversation with Will. Will was kind. He showed me about 4 houses in one day and I was able to make a choice same day - Shared house with spacious ensuite Room, has tumble dryer, and neat. I am really pleased with their service and will recommend this company to anyone I know searching for an accommodation.
