We had 4 people quote on the work. David was keen to visit in-person and his quote was in-line with others, even though one company hadn't visited so some of their costs were estimates, and another company was cash only, and went silent when we discussed guarantees etc.
I've had two roofing repair jobs done by David (2016 / 2020) -One was replacing a flat roof above a bay window, and the other was replacing some flashing and guttering on my victorian terrace in SE4. Both jobs were done perfectly and professionally, with no issues either on the day or subsequently. I would recommend Norwood Roofing.
David was recommended to us by Aardvark Chimney sweeps and he recently completed some chimney capping and lead-work for us. We had 4 people quote on the work. Avoid David O'Donnell of Norwood Roofing at all costs, he is quite possibly the most incompetent and dishonest tradesman I have ever encountered. After spending a substantial amount of money with him for some roof work, during the next downpour it proceded to leak even more than before he'd 'fixed' it, and after finding out from my tennants that he'd only spent 2 days on the job for what was closer to a 2 week job (reflected in the price he charged me). I had some work done on my flat roof 4 and a half years ago and noticed recently that a slight leak was forming. I got in touch with Norwood Roofing on the Sunday of the bank holiday weekend and they came to fix it on the Tuesday under guarantee. Excellent service.
