We found the culprit.
Be very careful this is not Northwood Street car park it’s called Dinecroft! Got a £100 fine for paying for the other car park on the same street that RingGo also calls Northwood Street car park. The car park itself does need resurfacing, full of rubble and large pot holes was like that a few years ago when we came as well
Worst car park in the world. First you cannot come here if you have a low car as this car park has more potholes then the slums of India. You’d expect for the amount of £100 fines the give out they could pave the car park with golden bricks but I guess the owners must be stingey. This leads on to the second point which is no matter if you pay for the day and park an hour, you’re going to receive a fine full stop. We parked here as it was the closest to our hotel,Hampton by Hilton,this is literally on the back of the hotel, after seeing the previous reviews I was worried leaving the car here but we were fine, had no issues, parked using the “RingGo” app. The parking charges are fair, the only thing that would have given me some peace of mind would have been cctv cameras which I didn’t see anywhere on the car park
Please be aware that if your are pre-booking on Your Carparking app, the directions to the carpark and the photos are not of Northwood Street carpark. They lead you to Dinecroft carpark (same street but further up) and if you park there having paid for Northwood Street, you risk a fine. Northwood Street is well- paved and has CCTV. Dinecroft has no CCTV and is littered with potholes and rubble.
